Our commitment
MediPrimer is committed to making its content accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to conform to recognized accessibility guidance, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) at the AA level, as a practical target for a text-based educational site.
What we do
- Use clear, plain language and a logical heading structure so pages are easy to navigate with a screen reader.
- Design for readability with sufficient color contrast, and support your device's light or dark mode.
- Build pages that reflow and remain usable on phones, tablets, and desktops, and when text is enlarged.
- Keep interactive features simple; the site's core content is fully readable without JavaScript.
- Provide descriptive links and avoid relying on color alone to convey meaning.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time task. We review the site periodically and work to fix barriers as we find them. Some third-party sites we link to are outside our control and may not meet the same standards.
Reporting a barrier
If you encounter a page or feature that is difficult to use with assistive technology, we want to know so we can improve it. In the meantime, if you are unable to access specific information here, the official government sources — Medicare.gov, Medicaid.gov, and your state Medicaid agency — offer the same program information in accessible formats and by phone.
