Privacy Policy

How this site handles information. The short version: it collects as little as possible and sells nothing.

Last updated: July 13, 2026.

In plain terms: MediPrimer is a read-only educational site. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no forms that ask for your personal or health information. We don't sell data. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people read, so we can make the site better.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask you to create an account or log in. We do not host contact forms, surveys, or applications that collect your name, contact details, health information, Medicare or Medicaid numbers, or other personal information. Please do not send us sensitive personal or health information; there is no secure channel here to receive it, and you should share such details only with your plan or the appropriate official agency.

Information collected automatically

Like virtually all websites, our web server automatically records standard technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time. This information is used only to operate the site, keep it secure, diagnose problems, and understand general usage. It is not used to identify you personally and is not combined with any marketing profile.

Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It records the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location (city level), and general device and browser information. Google processes this data on our behalf; we have turned off ads personalization features. We use it only to learn which content helps people and to improve the site.

Analytics also records use of on-page tools, such as glossary searches and the Medicare navigator, so we can see which tools are useful. These signals describe how the tools are used; they are not tied to your identity.

If you prefer not to be counted, you can install Google's free Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or use a browser or extension that blocks analytics. The site works fully either way.

The MediBot chat feature (limited testing)

If you use the optional chat widget, the text you type is sent to our server and then to Anthropic (the company that makes Claude, the AI model that writes the answers) so it can generate a response. We do not store your questions or the conversation anywhere on our end. We have not independently verified Anthropic's own data-retention practices for this API beyond what they publish — see Anthropic's privacy policy before sharing anything sensitive, and please don't enter personal or health details in the chat regardless. This feature is currently limited to internal testing and is not part of the site's normal experience.

How information is used and shared

We do not sell, rent, or trade any information. Standard server logs may be shared only with our hosting or security providers as needed to run and protect the site, or where required by law. Analytics data is processed by Google as described above. We do not share information with advertisers or data brokers.

Third-party websites

This site links to third-party websites, including government sites. Once you follow a link, you are subject to that site's own privacy practices, which we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

Because we don't collect personal information through the site, there is nothing for you to update or delete with us. You can control cookies and browsing data through your own browser settings, block analytics with the opt-out add-on above, and stop using the site at any time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
