If you work at a library, an Area Agency on Aging, a senior center, a community health center or a veterans organization, you can use anything on this page with the people you serve. Print it, copy it, put it on a table, attach it to an email. You do not need to ask us and there is nothing to sign.

What is in the kit
- Four one-page posters — the 7-month sign-up window, what each part of Medicare pays for, Medicare vs Medicaid vs both, and which enrollment window is open when.
- A costs card — the standard premiums, deductibles and coinsurance on a single page, dated so you can see at a glance whether it is current.
- Checklists — for someone turning 65, the annual fall review, appealing a denial, and applying for help paying.
Put our calculator on your own site
The sign-up date calculator works inside your own web page. Someone enters a birthday and sees their exact enrollment window and what waiting would cost — without leaving your site. It is free, there is nothing to sign up for, and it needs no maintenance from you.
Paste this where you want it to appear:

It adapts to the width you give it. If your site is mostly Spanish, Chinese or Vietnamese, email us and we will send the version in that language.
Why we made these
Plain-language Medicare material is hard to find in Spanish and nearly impossible in Chinese or Vietnamese. Organizations serving those communities generally have no budget to produce it. We already publish every page of this site in each of those languages, so turning it into something printable costs us nothing and may save your staff a great deal of explaining.
MediPrimer is independent. It carries no advertising, sells nothing, recommends no insurance plan, and is not paid by any insurer. It points people toward free official help — SHIP counselors, state Medicaid agencies and 1-800-MEDICARE. That is the whole business model, so you can hand these out without worrying about what we are selling.
Using them
- Print freely — any quantity, colour or black and white. The posters are designed for letter-size landscape; everything else is portrait.
- Add your own logo if it helps your clients trust it. We only ask that the mediprimer.org line stays on, so people can find the full guide.
- Link to us if you keep an online resource list — mediprimer.org — though the materials are yours to use either way.
- Tell us what is missing. If your clients keep asking something these do not answer, email editor@mediprimer.org and we will look at making it.
Want something specific?
We can usually produce a handout on a particular topic, or in another language, faster than you would expect — the site already exists in four languages and more are being added. If there is something your community needs, ask.
